15 things to try in 2015

“New Year, New me”, right? Every year we set high standards to change our lives for the better, and then here comes December and CRAP!!! I forgot! It’s that or we set the goal so ungodly high that we can’t reach it.

 

Well I have come up with 15 things you can change in 2015 that are simple. So here we go!

 

1 – Wake up an hour earlier

How many people do you know say something like this: I wish I had more time to just do _______. Well, one simple way to fit more things in your day is to wake up an hour earlier.

2 – Read A Chapter of a book a day

Reading is an important thing to do. So why not dedicate some time every day to read a chapter a day? Eventually, you will read the entire book!

3 – Give up one bad habit a month

You don’t have to quit 20 things all at once, just take baby steps and quit one bad thing every month. Start with Soda!

4 – Walk a mile every day

  1. Thats how many miles you could walk if you walked a mile every day. Imagine how good you will feel after that!

5 – Volunteer an hour a week

Many organizations stuggle in finding volunteers to help out. Find something you’re passionate about and get involved.

6 – Save your change

I personally have a jar next to my desk now where I place all my change. Eventually, I’ll have enough to actually pay for something cool. And might as well, it’s my money!

7 – Learn Something New

Take a cooking class, an art class, maybe even Yoga! But learn something new! These classes usually last between 30 minutes and 90 minutes. You can squeeze them in!

8 – Turn off your phone for an hour a week

Use this time to relax and meditate. If you can’t turn your phone off due to potential emergency, at least take the time away from your phone. Heck, have a bubble bath!

9 – Try out a new restaurant

Take a step out of the ordinary. Find a foody friend and explore new restaurants within your area. Some might be worth it, others not so much. But at least you’re living!

10 – buy someone you don’t know a cup of coffee

And while you’re waiting, ask them a few questions about them. Maybe you can make a new friend this way. Either way, you’ve made that person’s day and they will smile the entire day!

11 – Take the day off

You work too hard. You deserve some YOU time.

12 – Work Harder

It’s never a bad time to pick up extra shifts or out work your co-workers. Everyone knows that you deserve a promotion, now it’s time to show the world that.

13 – Go on a date!

It’s been too long. You’re either married with kids and it’s too hard, or you’re single and don’t trust the opposite sex. Either way, it’s time for you to go out!

14 – Call that long lost friend

And ask them why they forgot about you. Make plans for lunch and rekindle that friendship.

15 – Get a new hair style

Change is good! Don’t be afraid of it. Try that new color or that cut. Who cares if it’s risky, you deserve to have fun!
