American Idol coming to an end?

Its no surprise that many people are begining to think that American Idol is coming to an end. With the show continuely dropping viewers like flower girls in wedding drop flowers….if not faster.

It’s sad in one aspect. Its sad to see one of the most successful shows in modern TV slowly become one of the most embarrassing things on TV. And the show isn’t bad. Thats what surprises many people is that the show has been more enjoyable this season than ever.

So what is Fox planning on doing to freshen up Idol? Well, there is talk to moving the show to a different part of the year. Personally, I think that if the show moved to a summer time frame. Launch it with a major concert from Idol winners and launch the season.

What won’t help the show is yet another judge change up.

Final Thoughts: 

Idol is a franchise that is historic. If they can find a way to cut cost but yet keep the integrity of the show in tact, I say go for it. However, if changes made to the show will make the show seem like a cheap knock off of the original, then I say let it go….I also would be in favor of maybe changing the name to simply “Idol” or “American Icon”…who knows.
