CNN Cancels ‘Don Lemon Tonight’; Lemon Moves to Mornings

CNN continues to purge their radical hosts and show lineup. CNN announced on Thursday that Don Lemon Tonight, the networks primetime show hosted by Don Lemon, was canceled and Lemon would be moving to the morning show.

Don Lemon Tonight has been a cornerstone of the left leaning network for eight years. The move comes after CNN’s new CEO Chris Licht’s promise to tone down the network’s left learn. Licht has already fired Brian Stelter and canceled long-running show, Reliable Sources.

Unlike Stelter, Lemon will remain with the network and move to the morning show along with Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins.

“There is no stronger combination of talent than Don, Poppy and Kaitlan to deliver on our promise of a game-changing morning news program,” Licht said in a statement.

There has not been any announcement regarding CNN’s current morning show host John Berman and Brianna Keilar or the Don Lemon Tonight time slot.

“The last eight years have been an incredible ride,” Lemon said in a statement. “I’ve had the opportunity to work with one of the best show teams in the business, but it’s time to shake things up.”

Many more changes are expected at CNN.
