Emma Roberts‘s good-girl reputation is in jeopardy.
A rep for the “Scream 4” star has confirmed to “omg! Insider” that the 22-year-old actress was arrested for domestic violence on July 7 in Montreal, Canada.
Roberts, daughter of actor Eric Roberts and niece of Oscar winner Julia, was detained by Montreal police following an altercation in a hotel room with her boyfriend, 26-year-old “American Horror Story” actor Evan Peters — a spat that allegedly left him with a bloody nose.
“It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding,” her spokesperson said.
“Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it.”
The Montreal Police Department confirmed the charges were dropped and the case is considered closed.
Roberts, whose credits also include the kid-friendly “Aquamarine” and “Nancy Drew,” began dating Peters in the spring of 2012, and appeared on the red carpet together for the first time at a Golden Globes afterparty in January.
