On Friday, December 6, the 2013 KIIS FM Jingleball was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles! The artists who performed were Ariana Grande, Austin Mahone, Enrique Iglesias, Fifth Harmony, Jason Derulo, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Miley Cyrus, Travie Mccoy, Robin Thicke, and Selena Gomez. Before the concert, the Jingleball Village outside featured fun booths and special performances, including one by Fifth Harmony. Travie performed first, one of the songs being Billionaire. New Politics rocked the stage hard! Jason showed off his sexy dance moves, getting everyone on their feet, as well as Enrique. Fifth Harmony really showed girl power and were very excited to perform at the Staples Center for the first time. Austin captured all his Mahomies’ hearts and got everyone dancing while performing Banga Banga. It was his first time performing at the Staples Center. When Selena performed, her set got cut off a little which led to her not singing Slow Down. It made her upset but she still did great! There were some troubles with Ariana’s microphone, but it eventually worked out. She wore her hair down, which she rarely does, and it looked gorgeous! One of the songs she sang was Last Christmas, a song on her upcoming Christmas album. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis really pumped up the crowd! The audience was surprised with Mary Lambert showing up to perform “Same Love” with Macklemore. Miley performed last, with very Christmas-y dancers on stage with her. She sang with a great amount of emotion and even shed some tears. Her performance also included lots of twerking, which involved Santa! The best part was that $1 from every ticket sold went to the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, which helps provide entertainment and fun for kids in hospitals. Jingleball definitely put everyone in the holiday spirit and spread lots of cheer. All the performers did amazing. Until next year!
