John Mayer played his first concert since throat surgery on the first stop on his Born and Raised tour on Saturday night, and he celebrated the special event with his fans … and his girlfriend. Katy Perry watched the show at Milwaukee’s Marcus Amphitheatre from the mixing board, reports Rolling Stone, and the “Battle Studies” singer made sure to give her a shout-out from the stage. When he brought up his surgery, he told fans that the “Firework” singer ordered food for him when he couldn’t speak. “She was so patient,” said John, who added that Katy took the time “to continue to get know me and love me” during his healing process. He then dedicated the song, “A Face To Call Home,” to “Katy, who is my face to call home.” The couple, who recently reunited for the third time, spent the Fourth of July holiday together, as noted in a photo Katy posted on Instagram of the two in matching patriotic ensembles. –
