My Chemical Romance Breaks Up

The Alternative rock band, My Chemical Romance announced that they are officially done. The “Black Parade” is calling quits after 12 years. The band released the folllowing statement.

“Being in this band for the past 12 years has been a true blessing. We’ve gotten to go places we never knew we would. We’ve been able to see and experience things we never imagined possible. We’ve shared the stage with people we admire, people we look up to, and best of all, our friends. And now, like all great things, it has come time for it to end. Thanks for all of your support, and for being part of the adventure.”

MCR, founded in 2001 by front man Gerard Way, released four studio albums over the past dozen years, most recently 2010’s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. The band continued performing through mid-2012 and revealed intentions to release tracks from sessions preceding Danger Days but did not announce plans for an album of new material.
