No More Free Peacock: NBCUniversal announces free streaming coming to an end

The NBCUniversal owned streaming Platform, Peacock, is ending its free ad-supported tier, according to Streamable.

According to the report, as of January 30th, Peacock will no longer allow new users to sign up for the free tier. New users have two options, the Premium (Ad-Supported) tier at $4.99 a month, or Premium Plus (Ad-Free) for $9.99 a month.

NBCUniversal plans to expand the premium offerings on Peacock by over 100,000 hours.

The company also plans to end the free tier for Cox Internet customers.

Commentary: Peacock is the worst of the streaming applications, in my opinion. I have had it since day one (for The Office) and it rarely works for me. I keep it for the WWE and plan on cancelling it at the end of WWE Wrestlemania season.

I am currently trying to stream a movie on the app and it will not load. Peacock’s support is just as bad. I recommend not using the service.
