TNT Cancels ‘Dallas’

TNT Cancels Dallas

TNT launched a remake of the 1972-1991 drame Dallas in 2012. They had hype, original cast members, and new story lines that made the remake extremely successful from the start. The remake also had a new sexiness to it that it hadn’t had before.

Opening to 6.7 Million viewers in 2012, the drama opened to 1.7 million. TNT then cancelled the show.

TNT released the following statement:

“We are extremely proud of [Dallas], which defied expectations by standing as a worthy continuation of the Ewing saga. We want to thank everyone involved with the show, from the extraordinary cast to the impeccable production team, led by the show’s creative forces, Cynthia Cidre and Mike Robin. We especially want to thank the people of Dallas for their warm and generous hospitality during the production of the series.”

We wish the stars of the remake the best in their future endeavors.
