10 Games to play in the quarantine.

With all of us being trap in our houses for who knows how long still I put together 10 of the games I think would be the most fun to pass the time alone or with your friends. Now I know there are so many I missed and this list could go on forever but to me, this gives you a nice spread of things to do while we all stay home. With that being said let’s get started.

Red Dead Redemption 2

You know it you love Red Dead 2 is all about the old west in this game you follow Arthur Morgan as a part of Dutch’s gang of outlaws. You can pull off amazing heists, hunt animals, dual people, or explore the wild west. This game takes place before Red Dead 1 so if you like this game’s story that can go well over 40-50 hours to finish you can head right into the first one and continue the adventure. On top of that this game also has a pretty fun multiplayer where you get to make your own Outlaw and venture out with your friends to do all kinds of random things. Mostly shoot people in the face but you get the idea. Red Dead 2 is full of hours upon hours of things to do with your friends or alone and the story of Arthur and co is truly one of the best video game stories I have ever played.

Final Fantasy 7 remake

Now, this is something I haven’t played to much of yet but this game is incredible in this roughly 50-hour game you play through only the first 8 hours of the original FF7. Much like Resident Evil 2 is a retelling of the original game story, that tells a new take on the original events. It plays much more like Final Fantasy 15 which is one of my favorite Final Fantasy, however, you can still make it a turn-based game if you want to play it like the original. There is so much in this game to keep yourself busy as well as being a gorgeous game to look at. The only thing is it’s a PS4 exclusive so this one is for the Sony players.

World Of Warcraft

While I don’t need to say this is a PC only game WOW is still one of the most played MMORPGs around with double XP going on till the summer due to this virus now is the best time to hop into the WOW and lose all kinds of hours to it. If your missing social interaction this is the game to get it in with millions of people playing it all over the world. Here you can make new friends or just team up with the friends you have to grind for gear, go on raids, or play quests.

Minecraft

Minecraft is a great game to play with your kids if you have any. This game allows anyone to be as creative as they want to be in creative mode where you can build anything you want with up to 4 friends locally or 8 online on the console version. PC works differently where you’ll have access to a ton of Mods that make the game into totally new things, my favorite is Sky Factory 4 if you have a PC look that one up it’s a whole new way to play the game. Where you start with just one tree and have to build Minecraft. Then you have survival where you can mine, build, craft, or fight the ender dragon, all while surviving the hoards of monster that come at night. Minecraft has endless fun for everyone where your only real limit is your own creativity.

Overwatch

Personally, this is where I have spent all my time with my friends since the quarantine began. Overwatch is a team based multiplayer game, where 6 man teams go head to head in all kinds of different game modes, like payload and capture-defend. There are 3 classes to choose from Damage, Healing, and Tank each one has all kinds of heroes to pick with different abilities and skills to use. As well as a ton of cosmetic skins to wear on each hero. This game is endless fun and can also be the biggest pain just depends on the match and your team. Not to mention all the heroes have amazing personalities and everyone has their favorite hero to play as.  It’s so much fun to play and has really brought me and my friends together during this hard time.

Skyrim

Skyrim is and always will be one of my favorite games ever it is truly amazing and never stops being fun to play. With over 500 hours worth of content to play in this game, there are still things in this game I have never seen before. With all kinds of ways to play from Warrior, Thief, and my favorite Mage. There all kinds of species to play as and this game will suck you in and you’ll lose a ton of hours to it. Which at this time is what we all need. With a massive world and tons to do, you’ll never have a dull moment in Skyrim.

Dragonball Kakarot

For all of my DBZ fans, this is the game for you not only is it a long game, about 30 – 40 hours, it also goes through the whole Dragon Ball Z anime from start to finish. There is so much to do and see with all kinds of side missions that answer questions about the anime we never had answered. The combat is where this games lives think of it as a fighting game mixed with RPG elements. This would be a fun way to also introduce someone to Goku’s story without feeling overwhelmed. You’ll never be bored playing this game and for more on this game check out my full review of it  here.

Borderlands 2

While Borderlands 3 is the newer game I can’t recommend it, because the online version of the game is just not as fun with poor frame rate and all kinds of weird bugs. 2 is still the best time you’ll have looting and shooting alone or with up to 3 friends. You can even play it in 4 screens local co-op if you live with people. This game has a ton of DLC as well where you can have some real fun with the hard as hell raid bosses. So if you want to grind and hear some stupid jokes along the way, head to Pandora.

Stardew Valley

While I would recommend the new Animal Crossing game I have not played it. In no way am I comparing the two of these games I can, however, talk about Stardew Valley. A pixel farming game where you and now some friends can grow a farm, make friends, kill monsters, and build new additions to your house. This game will take away all your time, keeping you immersed in a 16-bit world where you can create a new home for you and your friends. This game is endless and you can just keep playing and playing till you feel like you can’t farm anymore. If you’re looking for a much more quiet game then this is it.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare

While the multiplayer is fun as hell and never gets old I am here to talk more about Warzone, a 150 player battle royal game. This game has 3 different types of team modes solo, trios, and quads. With 150 players it is still a fast base game and when you die you even get a chance to beat another player in a place called the Gulag where if you win you get sent back to the fight. Otherwise, if you’re on a team someone has to buy you back into the game. This is a great game to play with all your friends and for me brings me back to the days when I played MW2 with my friends for hours on end. If your a hardcore COD fan this is something you really should start playing even if you’re not big on battle royal modes.

And that about covers it I know I missed a ton of great games that we all are playing to keep busy. So, if your reading this leave a comment with the game that’s keeping you busy during these difficult times, stay safe everyone.
