Sunday night, the 61st Grammy Awards took place at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, hosted by R&B singer Alicia Keys. The four-hour award show was filled with tons of celebrities, performances and a host of cool commercials. Many artists took home awards including, Beyonce and Jay Z who won “Best Urban Contemporary Album”; Childish Gambino who won Record of the Year; H.E.R. who won Best R&B album and Drake who won ‘Best Rap Song’. Cardi B made history becoming the first female rapper to win Best Rap Album.

Drake’s Mic Gets Cut Off During Grammy Acceptance Speech
The 61st Grammy Awards took place Sunday night at the Los Angeles’ Staples Center. Many of our favorite artists took home awards including Jay Z and Beyonce’, Cardi B., H.E.R., and more. Of the many acceptance speeches given, Drake was one who fell victim to the traditional, “Grammy cut off music”. His mic was cut off yesterday after he earned and accepted his award for Best Rap Song for his hit “God’s Plan,”.
He stated,
“ We play an opinion based sport, not a factual based sport. You already won if you have people singing your songs word for word, if oyu’re a hero in your hometown. If there’s people who have regular jobs who are coming out in the rain, in the snow and spending their hard earned money to buy tickets to come to your shows, you don’t need this right here. I promise you, you already won.
It was reported sources caught up with Drake backstage and was asked how he felt about the situation and was all smailes.

Nick Cannon Responds to Rumors About Replacing Wendy Williams
Actor, comedian and rapper, Nick Cannon has been spending the past week co-hosting the Wendy Williams Show and has been receiving rave reviews from viewers. The reviews went so far as creating a riumor that Nick was planning on hosting for Wendy permanently. He shut down these rumors stating,
“BTW Nobody can replace Wendy!!! There is and will only be one Wendy Williams! ?? I’m a fan. Sending Positive Vibrations & Praying for the Queen and her peace. She will be back on TV in no time!”
Due to her health conditions, Wendy has taken a break from hosting her daytime TV show.
An official date for her return has not yet been released.
