WWE Legend and Hollywood star John Cena is entering the booze business alongside Sarah Jessica Parker and others, Bloomberg reports.
The report says that Cena and Parker are just part of a group of celebrities launching this brand of premixed cocktails. Cena would not be the first former WWE wrestler who has a booze brand. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin both have alcoholic brands.
Cena’s drink under the new brand, Thomas Ashbourne, will be an old fashioned. Bloomberg writes, “The cocktails cost about $22 for a 375-milliliter bottle or $30 for a four-pack of 200-milliliter cans on Thomas Ashbourne’s website. In-store prices will be about $16 and $26, respectively.”
Cena said that he spent 18 months developing his drink and credits his time in WWE for his love of bourbon.
“I got a lot of my business education after the events, being able to sit with the people I’ve watched and admired and we’ve shared beer and bourbon and a bunch of stories,” said Cena. “That actually brought me here.”
