Tim Allen’s ‘Last Man Standing’ is coming to an end this year

Well, lets start of 2021 with some sad news: Last Man Standing is coming to an end…again.

The Tim Allen starring comedy on the FOX Broadcast channel is ending with a 9th season that starts in just a few days. Allen (plays Mike Baxter, the macho father of three girls who runs an outdoors business) says that the ending of Last Man Standing will be bittersweet for him.

Last Man Standing ran on the ABC network for 6 season. After being cancelled by ABC, FOX picked up the show for a 7th, 8th, and now 9th season. The move to FOX proved to be a big move for FOX as it brought in a great number for the network.

Allen told TVLine.com that he has wanted the show to end after its second season on FOX but the network wanted to do a final farewell season. Allen said in the statement “we decided to add a year so we could produce a full season to create the gentle and fun goodbye.”

When all is said and done, Last Man Standing will have 194 episodes to its name. The final season of Last Man Standing kicks off on Sunday, January 3, 2021 on Fox.
