PWInsider is reporting that an upcoming film that John Cena is a cast member of has been acquired by Apple.
Apple has been buying up content for their Apple TV+ streaming service. According to PWinsider’s report, “The film, based on spy novel Argylle from author Ellie Conway, follows “the world’s greatest spy” ‘Argylle’ as he is caught up in a globe-trotting adventure and is slated to be the first film in a planned trilogy. ”
Deadline is reporting that Apple paid $200 million for the film rights. Samuel L. Jackson, Bryan Cranston, and Dua Lipa are also signed onto the project.
